Cami Layé Okún is one of the finest and funnest DJs around right now. Playing music from Cuba (and elsewhere, but you need a hook, right?) she’s all about that rhythm and sunshine melody!

This is not so much a piece where we need to write a great deal – basically, go follow her on Instagram or wherever you get your updates, and you’ll find out about where she’s playing and which mixes she’s shared online. They’re all really fantastic and her record collection is 100% chef’s kiss.

Here’s a mix she did on YouTube surrounded by an enviable amount of plants (which we admire and are certain we wouldn’t be able to look after, leaving us with a set flanked by yellowing leaves and brittle stems). Cami’s music is as alive as the foliage around her. Essential stuff.
