Mac DeMarco is kinda back. He’s been away you see, after the success of his last LP ‘Here Comes The Cowboy’. That’s what it was called wasn’t it? Pretty sure it was. Anyway, he just wanted to get in the festive mood and remind us that he existed, so he’s knocked out a video for the holidays, wearing an inflatable Santa Claus costume and riding a motorbike.

Of course, fans of his will tell you (and they’ll tell you alright – Mac’s fans can be a bit ‘much’) that he’s released a bunch of songs at Xmas, but calm down lads, not everyone has to know everything all the time.

This year, to save us from tears, he’s recorded ‘It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas’

DeMarco is also working on a new album too, what with him being a professional musician who needs new albums to earn an honest crust. And probably, he likes to do gigs where he’s not playing the same material over and over. Oh, of course, and that insatiable artistic urge that all musicians have where they simply must create and paint great sonic tapestries or their soul will die yadda yadda.

He said in an interview that we cut and pasted a quote from, but closed the tab on our computer before crediting the source that he’s mainly focused on “living a happy life, and it’s working”, adding that he’s “reteaching myself how to rock and roll”.

It’ll probably be quite good.
