Whether you think of her music as experimental electronica, or future R&B, we can all agree that Kelela is fantastic.

And she’s back with a new single called ‘Contact’.

She’ll be releasing a new LP called ‘RAVEN’ which is bound to be fantastic on Feb 10th. New album ‘RAVEN’ is out on February 10th.

And now we’ve got this new track as a teaser!

It’s got a solid late-nite ’90s post-clubbing breakbeat vibe, with Kelela’s honeyed vocals. It’s really wonderful.

Interesting enough, it’s a songs about getting yourself ready to go out. You’ve hid stuff in your sock and left some on the side for later? Tunes on? Few drinks and a taxi?

Kelela comments…

“‘Contact’ has a little bit of something for every part of the night. It’s a soundtrack for ‘pre-gaming’ (a song to play as you’re getting ready or on your way to the club). It’s also the interior club experience: the heat that envelops you when you walk into a packed rave. All this culminates in a very naughty, psychedelic moment in the back of the club with a lover.”
