Sopwith Camel ‘Miraculous Hump Returns From The Moon’ ltd coloured vinyl LP reissue pre-order (release date 10th February)
Have you heard ‘Fazon’ by Sopwith Camel? It’s utterly fantastic and one of those dreamy, cosmic chuggers that’ll make you want to slowly get ripped to the tits, gently.
The good news, if you want to own it on vinyl, is that Sopwith Camel’s marvellously titled LP ‘Miraculous Hump Returns From The Moon’ is getting the reissue treatment and will be available to buy on a limited run (act sharpish – it’ll fly out this one) on 180g white coloured vinyl. How limited? They’ll be numbered and 750 copies are getting made. Your record collector mates will be all over this and reselling them no doubt.
Sopwith Camel are a San Fran psychedelic outfit from the ’60s and ’70s, and this is the second LP from the group who, among them, were session men on ‘Spirit In The Sky’, which is fun isn’t it? Honestly though, if someone told us that this band recorded this LP last year, we’d believe you (if we didn’t already know about it – you get what we mean – it’s aged well is what we’re really saying).
February 10th is when to set your sights for, and here’s a link if you need one. You can preorder it too, if you’re flash like that.
If you haven’t heard it and it’s piqued your interest, then here’s the oblig YouTube clip of ‘Fazon’ which is just insanely great. Wait ’til you get to the cascading chorus and you’ll be floating a full foot off the ground.
