We can’t quite pigeonhole the new single from singer/songwriter Lael Neale, but that’s okay. If you’re absolutely desperate for a hook, then we’re picking up some of the great pop that came out of NYC in the ’80s – kinda part punk, but not all OI! and FLOB!, rather, uptempo loftmuzik with Farfisa and cool shit going on.
They have a new LP coming out called ‘Star Eaters Delight’ on April 21st (Sub Pop), and the single from it is called ‘I Am The River’ and it’s really good.
We don’t know too much about them honestly, but that doesn’t matter right now. Listen to this, dance around foolishly, and we’ll work out the rest another day. Immediate bop.
