Yves Tumor isn’t quite like anyone else around at the moment, but one thing we do know is that the music they’ve been making is undeniably sexy. Good too, mind you. Future glam mixed with Prince’s grimier moments, with a dollop of psychedelics thrown in. It’s fun stuff.
Well, good news pop fans, there’s going to be a new LP and a tour too. This is all preceded by a new single called ‘Echolalia’ (which you can listen to below). The video is a bit Gulliver’s Travels and a bit twisted, which is nice.
If you’ve not heard the previous stuff – ‘Heaven To A Tortured Mind’ LP and the ‘Asymptotical World’ EP, then get on those before this new one comes out. The new one is called ‘Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds)’, incidentally. People will call it ‘praise a lord‘, we reckon.
The new cut will be produced by Noah Goldstein (Rosalia, Frank Ocean, Rihanna) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, My Bloody Valentine) which should give you a notion of how this who Yves Tumor sound works.
There’ll be a world tour to support the new music, kicking off at Coachella in April, then around North America, and then a smidge of European dates including Primavera in Barcelona. Then, a little rest, and some UK dates around November.
Anyway, have a listen.
