Pink Floyd – they’ve always got on so well with each other haven’t they? We joke of course, but any hope for a reunion have been well and truly booted to death this week.
Polly Samson, author and wife of Dave Gilmour, have been tweeting. We’ll link to her tweet. Then to Gilmour’s quote tweet. That’s for proof. The screengrab of what’s been said, below.

Roger Waters is not shy of speaking his mind, it’s true. He’s come under fire a number of times in his life and is pro animal hunting because, y’know, rich lads and their country piles are always not far away from making kissy kissy faces at the countryside alliance.
It looks like the Gilmour household has had enough.
Now, Waters responded on his official account saying he was “aware of the incendiary and wildly inaccurate comments made about him on Twitter by Polly Samson which he refutes entirely”, adding: “he is currently taking advice as to his position.”
So what brought all this on? Well, Waters went after the “Israel lobby” for trying to “silence” him. He compared the Israeli government to Nazis, and regarding the war in Ukraine, speaking to the Berliner Zeitung newspaper, he said that Russia’s war was “probably the most provoked invasion ever”.
Now, Polly Samson. Her father fled Nazi Germany, but has also appeared to agree with Waters in the past regarding the war in Ukraine, which is making the whole thing incredibly murky isn’t it? Gilmour chipping in with his “demonstrably true” comments just stirred the whole thing up a lot more.
Weird promo for the 50th anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon, eh?
