Janelle Monae is back with some new music after ‘Dirty Computer’ took over the world. Since then, they’ve been branching out a bit, but we write about music and it’s new tunes we’re most interested in.

So, the new track is called ‘Float’ and as the title suggests, it’s a pretty dreamy number – so don’t be expecting filthy club bangers like ‘Yoga’ or hot Prince-ish sex boogie.

No, this is a collab with Seun Kuti and Egypt 80. You’ll recognise that Seun comes from a rather prestigious musical family there. The Egypt 80 project is pretty great actually, but that’s for another time. Have a listen to this and see what you think.
