Just because you’ve grown a little weary of one type of thing doesn’t make it automatically bad. However, hip hop has suffered a little from being introspective and melancholy, when given the state of the world, we really could do with a shed-load of in-your-face fun.

So with that, thank god for ‘Nasty Dancer’ by Flo Milli. Is it going to change the world? Is it offering some kind of razor sharp view of society at large? No, but it isn’t trying to. This just bangs. Real Saturday night tackle.

Also, there’s been a sniff of Miami Bass in a number of tracks recently and we’d be very happy if this was part of some kind of resurgence of that.
