Tina Weymouth’s group, Talking Heads, are coming back of a fashion. ‘Stop Making Sense’ – the iconic live movie – will return to theatres in 2023 with a newly restored 4K version, so it’ll look real pretty. It’s from A24 if you care about such details.
Also, a Deluxe Edition of the film soundtrack will be released on a limited edition 2xLP Set (and digitally, of course) and there’ll be two previously unreleased songs on it too. That’s August 18th and, if you’re interested enough to pre-order it, you can via the Talking Heads store.
Want to watch the trailer? It’s really good. It features David Byrne wearing that suit again. It’s genuinely lovely to see.
If you managed to look beyond that great big slutty video just now, and are wondering what else is going on with vinyl, well, the unreleased thingies will be ‘Cities and Big Business’ and ‘I Zimbra’.
The limited-edition vinyl version will also feature a 28-page booklet with previously unpublished photos along with new liner notes from all four band members.
It’s nice to see them getting on with each other for long enough to do something isn’t it? Reckon there’s a small reunion in the works?
