The BBC Archives are at it again, this time with a piece from the ’80s about the UK’s graffiti scene and star of the show, a young Goldie.
Of course, Goldie went on to be a pioneer in drum & bass, but he made his name as an artist on the streets.
You can see him here with some real squares and you’ll wonder why anyone ever sided with grasses. A young vibrant artist speaking passionately, versus two fogeys in shit shoes.
Anyway, enjoy. This is great.
