Haley Blais is apparently a YouTuber. We don’t really know anything about that. What we do know is that her new single is called ‘Matchmaker’ and it’s cool!
It’s classic Bedroom Pop, which is always super charming when done correctly. It’s almost the introvert version of garage rock, isn’t it? It’s all enthusiastically and amateurishly made, in the best possible way.
The track is about looking for problems when you’re secure in a relationship, which is a fine thing to write a song about. She says: “It’s a love song about being so confident and safe in a relationship that you start to look for cracks out of fear.”
