Do you like the Allah-Las? Great news for you is that they’ve announced a new album called ‘Zuma 85’ and there’s a tour afoot and two new songs for you to listen to.

The first new song we’ll share is called ‘The Stuff’ which will be a familiar sound to fans, with twangy psych guitars and all that good bizznizz. It’s a small step in a new direction though, so they’re not standing still or anything like that.

What we’re more interested in is the second song, named ‘Zuma 85’ like the LP. It’s a hazy, synthy thing which is VERY West Coast dreamy goodness, with a clicky drum machine and a mile away from the garage surf you might be used to.

We can hear a bit of ’80s loner folk in there, and a sniff of central European motorik stuff. Very nice. Very record-collector wanker (by no means a criticism, being record-collector wanker types ourselves).
