Lime Garden have a new track out that will thrill retro loving kids and their parents who want to go to gigs again with a ’90s inspired, noisy number and, it’s a wry affair as well, what with it being called ‘Nepotism (Baby)’, which leads us to believe it’s going to be popular indeed.
The group are from Brighton, which seems to be a hotbed of alternative rock at the moment, and for fans of indie pop, you won’t go far wrong with this. It’s quiet/loud/quiet – it’s basically designed for pints and moshing in your cherry red Docs.
Chloe Howard of the band sez: “Nepotism (baby)’ was written as a commentary on modern society, imagining my life as if I was someone born into fame. Writing the track gave me the feeling of being a teenager again, writing songs in my bedroom using three chords or less. The sound of this song pays homage to the beginnings of this band as four angsty teens who love guitars.”
