We’d not heard of Hurry before literally just now, but they’ve got a lovely jangle-pop number out, which precedes their new LP, and it’s all very pleasant indeed. The song is called ‘Parallel Haunting’ and will feature on the forthcoming ‘Don’t Look Back’ LP.
They hail from Philly and if you like Teenage Fanclub, Guided By Voices, Yo La Tengo, and all that poppy, garage rocky, fuzzy fun stuff, then you’ll invariably find a lot to like in these guys. Sometimes they play loud, sometimes they don’t – this one is a little more baroqueish and obviously, that’s right up our street. Another ’90s revival band with a sniff of the ’60s about them.
Fun!
