Black Grape have announced a new LP, which we didn’t see coming. They might have been talking about it for ages for all we know, but that’s not the point. We’re surprised and it’s not wholly unpleasant, is it?
The group, of course, are a project of Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays) and Kermit (Ruthless Rap Assassins) and are a hodgepodge of blue eyed funk, rock, dance music, dancehall and… basically, take a load of Es and it’s good time party music.
The project has had some of Ryder’s finest lyrics incidentally. You’re telling us this ain’t pants down fantastic?

The new LP will be called ‘Orange Head’ and there’s a couple of new songs for you to listen to, called ‘Milk’ and ‘Pimp Wars’. We’ll stop talking now and you can see if you’re going to allow yourself to get excited or not.
