Stephen Steinbrink, who we hadn’t heard of until we pressed play on the below video, has a cool new song out. Let’s tell you some stuff first though, so you get the illusion of value for money, even though we’re doing this for free.

There’s going to be a new album called ‘Disappearing Coin’ and this track is from that, which has the name of ‘Pony’. So far, so factual. You want more than just facts.

This is a DIY jazzy number which is incredibly charming and the video for it is lives up to the song, with Stephen animating it himself by hand. That’s cool isn’t it? The video is a whole load of fun too, so this, combined with Stephen’s good looks, officially makes him a triple threat.

Says Stephen: “I later animated the illustrated video by hand, matching the feeling to the song’s lyrical concept about of the often hilarious chaotic web of cause and effect. I didn’t set out with a narrative plan for the video and instead just let the story take shape on its own— I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it wanted to tell a tale of interplanetary animal liberation catalysed by a lemon-lime flavoured beverage for dogs.”

How about that!
