The good folks over at Light In The Attic have just announced a Nancy Sinatra rarities compilation that’s due out in October, which is great news for anyone with ears! It’s called ‘Keep Walkin’: Singles, Demos & Rarities 1965-1978′ and is more archival work following from the ‘Start Walkin” comp they put out a couple of years ago.

And get this – they’ll be putting it out on 8-track, which is beyond brilliant. It’ll also be on 2xLP, CD and streaming too, but you expected that. You’ll be able to buy it on October 20th.

From ‘Boots’ she strutted into the popworld and for a decade, smashed out a terrific catalogue of music. Infectious, charming, utterly sassy, funny and brilliant – there’s not many like our Nancy! You’ll know ‘How Does That Grab You Darlin’?’, ‘Bang Bang’, ‘Summer Wine’ and the rest, we’ve no doubt.

This comp looks at things that have been perhaps overlooked by the mainstream, and deeper cuts like ‘The City Never Sleeps’ and the impossibly fun, Bond-baiting ‘Last of the Secret Agents’. Of course, to mention Nancy, we must also mention Lee Hazlewood who was there too.

There’s some Nancy disco in there too, from a shelved disco LP which she refers to as; “a disaster. I called it the disco fiasco!”
