You may not have heard of Henry Diltz, but chances are, you’ve seen some of his photos. Diltz was there man, shooting some of the greatest to ever do it, focusing on the assorted crew that hung with Crosby Stills Nash & Young.

He’s got a gorgeous new book of photos out called CSN&Y: Love The One You’re With. A whopping 835 photographs, many previously unpublished of the supergroup, along with Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Clapton and more. It’s a snapshot of superstardom, Laurel Canyon, and a huge cultural impact.

Diltz was there at the very start and befriended the gang, capturing candids of one the biggest groups in the entire universe, warts and all.

The book has an introduction by Graham Nash and Stephen Stills, and given the Diltz knew Stills from his Greenwich Village days, and covered Buffalo Springfield, it’s obvious there was a special relationship.
