The great thing about dorks uploading stuff to YouTube is that us nerds can mainline all the stuff that won’t get repeated on the box.
One fun thing we watched is a 1965 Granada special called The Music of Lennon & McCartney.
It’s a special looking at other artists performing Beatle music (as well as the lads themselves) and some irreverent bits from John and Paul too.
Also featured is the legendary turn from Peter Sellers doing ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ in the style of Laurence Olivier doing Richard III.
Henry Mancini appears and is wonderful, and we get a French number for Dick Rivers (stop laughing at the back).
Loads of great go-go dancing too. Get stuck in.
