WORDS ABOUT MUSIC + POP CULTURE

JAMES ELKINGTON’S TAKE ON LIBRARY MUSIC

For so many years, library music was only a thing that tapped people’s toes if they were absentmindedly watching TV, as it soundtracked incidental moments on shows and whatnot.

However, nerds started valuing the complex pop-jazz moments, the ambient segues, and more. Soon enough, library music was having a renaissance. Matt Berry (who seems to have the best life ever) has teamed up with library dealers KPM for an album, and now, James Elkington is releasing a love letter to library music with the ‘Me Neither’ album, out in December.

The track he’s showing us first is an atmospheric affair that’ll make you feel like you’ve got a sea breeze tickling your neck. Lovely stuff. We’re looking forward to hearing more.
