You remember Steve Mason from the Beta Band right? He’s always up to something. The latest is getting Mancunian rapper OneDa to rework his ‘Moss Side Fish Fry’, and it’s a elastic bass synth gem, honestly.
OneDa says: “I approached this track as I would do a spoken word piece, using my verses in a poetic form, deconstructing the meaning I took from Steve’s lyrics in the chorus.”
The video is shot around South Manchester, and shout out to the greasy spoon in Withington where we’ve spent many a morning. If you’re local, have fun looking for Manchester spots – if not, you can just dance in your seat. This is cool shit.
