There’s going to be a bit too much perspective as Spinal Tap are coming back with a new film! And there’s some hot cameos for the new one, just like the original movie!

This new one will feature Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks and Elton John, amongst others. Talking with Richard Herring on the RHLSTP podcast, director Rob Reiner said that there’ll be a follow-up next year.

He said: “We’re making a sequel. We’re going to start shooting in the end of February and everybody is back.” He added: “Paul McCartney is joining and Elton John, and a few other surprises, Garth Brooks.”

We wrote the same thing twice there. Sorry. Consider the quotes as proof to back up what we initially said.

The main boys Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer will be back in their incredible roles.

Reiner has previously that he was worried about returning to the Tap fold.

“I can tell you hardly a day goes by without someone saying, why don’t you do another one?” he shared. “For so many years, we said, ‘Nah.’ It wasn’t until we came up with the right idea how to do this. You don’t want to just do it, to do it. You want to honour the first one and push it a little further with the story.”
