We are prepping ourselves to do our End Of Year lists, but it’s more of an emotional readying because they take ages to do. What doesn’t help is that everyone has started releasing Christmas songs to really give us a deadline.
Thankfully, the one we’re sharing from Anastasia Coope is a little freaky gem. While a lot of festive music falls into either cynical or cute (neither a bad thing honestly), Coope has gone for a weird walk down the acid folk route, and reminding us all that Christmas is in fact, a folk tradition and quite a psychedelic one at that.
It’s called ‘Cheshire Carol’ and we like it a lot.
