AMBIENT JAZZ FROM PETE JOLLY’S SEASONS

With the internet, rolling news and 360 deals demanding so much of our attention currently, it seems there’s been a reevaluation of ambient music, new age, and pastoral jazz.

Keeping that in mind, the lovely people over at Light In The Attic have reissued an absolute gem in Pete Jolly’s legendary ‘Seasons’ LP. This falls in the pastoral jazz section, if you’re wondering about that intro we wrote. It’s an organic jewel of an album that was composed live and grooves along like you’re smoking tabs on an allotment and watching leaves fall onto your barm.

Understated excellence, if you want a more floral take.

Original copies of this LP have a cult following and obviously, with that, you’re paying a pretty penny to get your own. Now, this ambient jazz album is available at a more reasonable price, thanks to the work at Light In The Attic, the nicest and maybe first of its kind since its original release in 1970.

Sampled by some of hip hop’s greats, ‘Seasons’ has been remastered from the original analogue tapes, has nice new liner notes and you can get it one clear green vinyl or clear amber wax – how lovely is that?
