Arguably the best group to come from the Indie Sleaze period are Brazil’s CSS, who managed to manage their spontaneity with fabulous grooves and playfulness.
For the first time in over a decade, they’re going to be doing a European tour called ‘It’s Been A Number Of Years’, which it has! Remember how good ‘Off The Hook’ was? That was a little banger wasn’t it?
Of course, their biggest hit was ‘Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above’, which is a long, fun title. Filled with skittery drum machines and all that good stuff, it’s everything that New Rave and whatever else was going on at the time promised to deliver.
Again, remind yourself of it by hitting play. If you’re of a certain age, this will be a glorious rolling back of the years and their shows are likely to be a whole load of wholesome fun.
