EarthGang are great – they’re about as psychedelic as hip hop gets in the current climate, mixing elastic funk with future trap, and generally, they’re making people who yearn for the times of Missy and OutKast very happy indeed.
‘Mirrorland’ is one of the great modern hip hop LPs and they’ve been releasing stuff since – and now have something new out in the shape of an EP called ‘EarthGang Vs. The Algorithm: RIP Human Art’. You can listen to a track from it below called ‘Blacklight’ which is unique and cool and we like it.
Not a club banger by any means, but then, that’s not what it’s for. The EP has a feature from Snoop, which is pretty great. You can listen to that below too.
‘Blacklight’ is Parliament-esque with beat up electronics and ‘Perfect Fantasy’ is a singalong affair, with Snoop joined by Spillage Village and it’s all very good and if you’re not into EarthGang yet, remedy that.
