Everyone’s favourite cosmic cowboys, The Hanging Stars, are coming back with a new LP and that’s always great news. While many Nu Country outfits wander past the gorgeous, ethereal nature of much of country music, not this lot.

The new album is called ‘On A Golden Shore’ and you’ll be able to get your hands on it real soon, and somewhat importantly, it’s on beautiful golden vinyl, and the artwork is not too shabby either. There’s only going to be 500 of these, and as they’ve been winning fans all over the world and championed by the likes of Whispering Bob, they’re not likely to hang around.

You can expect them to be carrying on from where they left off, with shifting psychedelia cut through a woozy, lilting country and Americana, on this fifth LP, wandering into new territory too (because they’re not a band that stands still). Recorded at Edwyn Collins’ Clashnarrow Studios with Sean Read, it’s bound to be a winner.

There’s going to be a number of live shows too, because these ol’ road dogs love treading the stage and winning hearts and minds in person, so check their Instagram etc for that.
