Pop music seems to be veering into the ditch in 2024. Now, this is not to say that it is in the ditch because it sucks, but rather, because there’s a brand of reckless, very silly, hedonistic pop that’s not too concerned with being polite and polished. If this is some kind of brat szn, we can’t say we’re mad at it.

Harmony Tividad has thrown a hand grenade our way after giving us ‘Miss America’ and ‘Thot’s Daughter’, and now, it’s the turn of ‘Coke and Mentos’. We’re getting a whiff of Girls Aloud off this track – skeezy ’00s electropop, but with a 2024 twist on it.

She’s rubbing shoulders with some of the most famous people in the world in the video – but hilariously, it’s their waxwork lookalikes, which is very silly and we’re very okay with it – she sings “Shake me like a Coke and Mentos/ Sometimes I just wanna explode!”

This sounds like it’ll pop in the clubs.
