There’s a trailer to look at, which sees Robbie Williams as a monkey. Now, that’s not your average sentence to write, but that’s the score as Robbie has a new biopic coming out, and instead of getting someone to just play him straight, he’s gone for a dollop of fantasy, which admit it – is fun.

The film is called ‘Better Man’ and Robbie will be a CGI monkey for the duration which will have a point, no doubt – the perils of celebrity and how you start acting up. Maybe Robbie read The Chimp Paradox and a lightbulb went off above his head?

The press release says: “’Better Man’ is based on the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams, one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Under the visionary direction of Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), the film is uniquely told from Williams’ perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit.”

“It follows Robbie’s journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his unparalleled achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring.”

Yeah, whatever. Let’s have a look at the trailer. It certainly is unique, and in a long line of biopic dreck, that’s all we can ask for really.
