We were listening to the radio and ‘The Only Way Is Up’ by Yazz came on. ‘Who wrote that song?’ we wondered. So obviously, we looked it up and it turns out its a cover version by Otis Clay. We didn’t know that.

So, there’s a chance you didn’t know either and it’s a lovely slice of commercial, string-laden disco. It’s the kind of song you’d throw on in a DJ set to keep it record collector friendly and have a few people raise their eyebrows and mouth ‘who is this by?!’
