He sold the idea of cooking to hipsters too cool to watch regular TV, he’s got a lot of tattoos, was in The Bear, is a restauranteur and all that jazz – now, Matty Matheson has announced he’s got a hardcore band called Pig Pen.

He’s announced this on socials, so if you’re a fan, you’ll know already. There’s a good chance we’re only writing about this to see if mentioning HIT TV SHOW THE BEAR might get us some artificial bot traffic, honestly.

We do hope Pig Pen are good though. That’d be nice.

The group also features someone from Alexisonfire, Wade MacNeil, as well was Daniel Romano, Ian SKI Romano, and Tommy Major. We’re just writing things now.

Matheson says they’ve already got an album in the can, so no messing around here: “A few old friends got together a couple years ago and wrote and recorded 10 songs over 2 days. We just wanted to hang out and see what’s up. This is our band. we are Pig Pen.”
