Lael Neale makes interesting music, and she has a new one out called ‘Down On The Freeway’. Apparently, it is about LA, and of course, you can’t talk about that place without talking about the roads around it.

It’s got a brutalist, minimal drum machine, but it is a pretty low-key affair, with a really fun video of gridlocked cars and a little dance routine. It’s cute, you’ll like it!

There’s a QR code in it too. Do with that what you will. She says it’s suggesting that “humanity is caught up in an escapist fantasy of techno-consumerism.”
