When you think of Florida, you generally think of messy, silly things and some dodgy retirees in golf buggies. Of course, there’s so much more to the area than simply being America’s wang. There’s good music down there.
From Jacksonville, there’s SAILORR, who has a fair amount of buzz around them at the minute, thanks to some ace R&B. There’s been a handful of buzzy tracks, and last year, ‘POOKIE’s REQUIEM’ went somewhat viral.
We liked ‘CUT UP’, and there seems to be momentum building for a first album, which is good to hear. There’s been nods from Doechii, Kodak Black, Bieber, Jack Harlow, and more, so definitely get your ears and eyes open around her.
There’s a new single out too, called ‘DOWN BAD’, which is out right now.
SAILORR says: “I do music to open myself and those I love up to opportunities we wouldn’t otherwise have. In the world of art – we all mesh them together to make the world a better place. With my music, I want to make people feel like, ‘Yeah, I can and I will do what I want.”
See what you think.
