Yaya Bey is referred to as Neo Soul, which effectively seems to be a catch-all phrase for any R&B singer that has a vaguely retro bent to their music. Whether it is true or not, Yaya Bey has some new tunes out and we really like ‘Dream Girl’.
There’s another called ‘Wake Up B*tch’ too, but we didn’t listen to that one just yet.
These are taking from imminent new album called ‘Do It Afraid’ and she’s definitely one to watch, given these releases.
