CONMAN VS ORBITAL

Now that the acid-casual parents have children old enough to be going out to clubs themselves, it’s fun to think about intergenerational happenings on the the dancefloors of the UK, with mum and son going halves on some pills.

With that, there’s a new track out which will be a bridge between “I used to dance to this when I was your age” and “this is what we’re listening to now”, with hedonistic housers Confidence Man re-imagining Orbital’s psychedelic banger ‘Lush’, under the name ‘Re-lush’.

Oldheads will know the track as one of the cornerstones of the fantastic ‘Brown’ album from ’93, and this new version (presumably with some other interesting remixes and bits) will appear on an expanded reissue of the album, which will span 4xLP etc. This follows the rework of Orbital’s ‘Deeper’, which switches out the male vocal for the always impressive and very cool Tilda Swinton.

Anyway, if you’re wanting to pre-save and pre-order this new version of Orbital second album, then you can do it here.

Now, let’s listen to ‘Re-lush’ and feel free to remove your tops.
