We have waxed lyrical about the music of Cheapskate before, and with the new single, we’re going to do it all over again.
Cheapskate’s music is everything that you love about noirish Brit jazz, ’70s library music and now, with all the sun-soaked bliss of Mediterranean funk and analogue synth bits. ‘The Sea’ is smooth sailing all the way, and has echoes of the sensational ‘Love Makes Magic’ from Balearic Dad supreme, Jim.
This new single is available on 6th June, but you can hear the A-Side of it below. The flipside comes with a magic Jim Noir remix too, which is great to see. It’s available to buy on a limited run of 45s, which is your call to not hang around and grab one before they’re all gone.
Visit cheapskate.bandcamp.com to grab yours and, we hear there’s going to be a 12″ EP available too.
