Anyone with an interest in music already knows about John Peel, his influence on alternative music and how he dedicated his life to breaking new tunes.
Well, there’s a cool auction of some of his records, and predictably there’s a lot of cool stuff and rarities in there.
There’s psychedelic records, some great post punk bundles, records which include personal letters to Peel, test pressings, acetates and test pressings from The Cure, The Who, T Rex, Roxy Music and loads more.
The most eye-catching things that will command the highest prices are hand-written notes from John Lennon, and a Joy Division record with a letter from the group’s manager Rob Gretton.
There’s a lot of great stuff in there, and you’re advised to have a look for yourself whether you’re buying or just interested in what’s available.
