You may know Gulp via your love of the Super Furry Animals. While SFA seem to be on an indefinite hiatus, the assorted members have released solo records, Das Koolies music and, in the shape of Guto Pryce, his Gulp work with Lindsey Leven is probably as good as anything for Furryworld.
Channelling German prog, folk, and various global beat music, Gulp have a new track out called ‘Hope Shines Through The Haar’.
There’s a new LP too, called ‘Beneath Strawberry Moons’, which you’ll be able to hear on August 29th.
Leven says: “I couldn’t ignore the history we are living through whilst writing the lyrics for this album, even if they exist mainly as almost subliminal in the background. ‘Haar’ is a Scottish word for sea mist. We get a lot of it where we live. If we can all look out for each other, we can look for that glimmer through the Haar. Here is hoping.”
