Pastoral psych group Whitney have announced a new album, called ‘Small Talk’ and the good news is that there’s a new song to listen to which sounds comfortingly like a Whitney song should sound.

The new album will be available on November 7th, and you know exactly where to go if you want to find out about pre-saves and all that. Check in with your favourite local independent record store if you want to pre-order any physical releases.

This new song is called ‘Dandelions’, and you can hear it below.

The group have said of the new record: “A couple years ago Max and I were both on the brink of moving across the country to be closer to the people we were dating at the time. Over the span of a few months both relationships somewhat abruptly crumbled, leaving us with equal parts confusion and sadness, mourning the futures that would have accompanied those relationships as well as the relationships themselves.”

“Inspired by those events (and on a whim of Midwestern pride) we wound up spinning the story of ‘Dandelions’ into one of a big city hopeful who gets chewed up and spit back out into the heartland.”
