DEPECHE MODE DEATH MOVIE

No, not a snuff movie – don’t be silly now. Depeche Mode have teamed up with Mexican director Fernando Frias for a new movie which looks at the Mexican relationship with dying, with the group squarely in the film itself.

Rather than acting, ‘M’ will revolve around live footage of the group during their ‘Memento Mori’ tour. The film will be released in cinemas, including on huge IMAX screens, and available to view from October 28th.

The live footage is from Mexico City’s Foro Sol Stadium, where Frias attended the show.

Dave Gahan said in a press release, “At its core, our new film, M, is about the deep connection between music, culture, and people—and Fernando Frías, who directed and conceived the film, did a beautiful job telling that story through the lens of Mexican culture and our shows in Mexico City.”
