‘Baybee’ by Jay Som is a favourite at ThePopCorps, and so we’ve always kept an eye out for new music. Luckily for us, there’s the first new album in 6 years coming our way! And things are a smidge different this time ’round.

October will see the release of ‘Belong’, but for now, we’ve got ‘Cards On The Table’, which is a little more synthetic, electronic, maybe even Balearic than previous outings.

The new song is her fave from the new cut. She says: “It’s about the shifting nature of friendships and how devastating conflict can be in platonic relationships when you feel misunderstood by each other. I think it’s a universal experience to navigate that type of dynamic. It feels like a never-ending cycle of people walking in and out of your life, but it ultimately leads to self discovery and growth.”
