There’s been something of a reappraisal of the Style Council over the years, which has been really nice to see. Paul Weller’s post-Jam output is up there with his best work, there’s no doubt about that.
With that, Universal Music are going to release some limited edition records, namely with a series of three limited edition coloured 7″ singles.
They’re going to be in the same colours as the French tricolour, which obviously means red, white, and blue, and there might be more to be had in the coming months and years – I guess they’ll see how these do, first.
These records will mark the four decades that have passed since the debut LP ‘Café Bleu’.
The first release will be ‘Speak Like A Child’ which you’ll be able to buy September 19th, and that’ll be on red vinyl.
On October 10th, it’ll be white vinyl and ‘Long Hot Summer’, and finally, ‘My Ever Changing Moods’ on October 24th.
Weller has the low-down on how to get these records over on his Instagram. Click here.
