Bob Weir, one of the lynch pins of the Grateful Dead, has aged 78.
A statement on Weir’s official channels said that he’d “succumbed to underlying lung issues” after a battle with cancer.
“He transitioned peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, after courageously beating cancer as only Bobby could,” it read.
The importance of the Grateful Dead have long been known, and there’ll be a lot of wonderful and better informed words about Bob’s passing will be written elsewhere. We’d just like to share one of our favourite songs from his solo career which is perhaps less well known.
Take it easy, Bob.
