Lindsey Jordan – you’ll know her better as Snail Mail – has announced a new album which is called ‘Ricochet’, and again, there’s noisy ’90s-ish guitars and sweet melodies, and some mean eyed views. It’s cool stuff!

At the foot of this article, you can hear a new song from the imminent LP, if you’re not bothered about the words we’ve written. The new song is called ‘Dead End’.

The album is out on March 27th via Matador, and we trust you know how to search for things online by now, if you want to pre-order it and pre-save it. If not, go to the Snail Mail Instagram or something, jeez.

The press release says the new album “carries a new sense of clarity, control and maturity throughout compared to her earlier releases”, and that compared to previous work, this new cut will take a “deeper approach – centring on themes of time, mortality, and loss”.

“I’ve never done this before, but I wrote all of the instrumentals and vocal melodies on the piano or guitar, and then I filled in the lyrics all at once over a year,” she added.
