In all honesty, we don’t know much about the rapper who calls himself Sideshow, but we just heard a new track from them and we thought it was pretty interesting. Do you call it indie-hip hop?
Whatever it is, it isn’t rage rap, trapcentric or a Golden Era throwback, which means he’s making music in his own lane, and that’s always something to be celebrated. The new track is called ‘Lifes As Violent As You Make It’, and is stop-starty and jazzy.
Sideshow announced a new album which goes by the name of ‘Tigray Funk’ and that’ll land on February 27th.
For fans of, say, Earl Sweatshirt, you might find a lot to love here. Press play, already.
