It can be a heavy thing carrying a famous name, and that’s what the Womack Sisters have to deal with, what with them being the nieces of the legendary Bobby, BG, Zeimani, and Kucha Womack respectively.

The girls have signed to Daptone and have a new single out called ‘You Went Away Too Long’, which is a big, soulful affair.

“This song holds a deep meaning that’s different for each of us,” they collectively say; “Imagine precious time stolen from your life, slipping away like sand through an hourglass, as your loved ones slowly forget the sound of your laughter. ‘You Went Away Too Long’ is a song about love and life interrupted.”
