Suzi Quatro is going to play the hits as part of a run of shows celebrating the 50th anniversary of her first number one and gigantic banger, ‘Can The Can’.
The Detroit legend said: “I am now in my 59th year in this business! Last year I played the Royal Albert Hall and was high on it for 4 days! Whether it’s in the UK, Australia, Europe, doesn’t matter. I was born to entertain, I was born to rock and roll and have no plans of stopping anytime soon! I am so excited to be doing this tour because this year I am celebrating the 50th anniversary of Can the Can, my first number one.”

“YES…. WE CAN !!!! Come and join me and let’s CAN THE CAN together.”
Anyway, this whole article is basically an excuse to share her tuff-as-nailz and impossibly groovy track ‘Your Mama Won’t Like Me’, which deserves far more love than it’s currently got. The album of the same name is brilliant too, and you should get stuck right into it.
Quatro has sold more than 50 million records worldwide, which includes the garage-punk-glam snot-rocker ’48 Crash’ which still sounds as yobby as it ever did. We love Suzi. She was briefly in Happy Days too, which is also very, very cool.
