There’s been rumours swirling of a new album from Paul McCartney, and he’s been sharing playlists and whatnot, which feature an emoji of a bird.
Well, here’s some unverified rumours which we’re definitely sharing because if we’re right, we we can shout TOLD YOU SO, and if we’re wrong, ah well.
The new album is likely called ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’ and we hear it’s out in July.
There’s been heavy hints that Ringo is going to be on this new record, which is incredibly comforting and makes all things right in the world, if true.
We hear Chrissie Hynde will provide some vocals on the record too.
The sleeve will be a photograph, and you suspect it’ll have been a photo taken by a family member – Mary and Sonny McCartney provided photos for McCartney III, so maybe we look to them again?
The promo has been ramping up with live shows, a new playlist called ‘Birdwatching’, which features a photo that references McCartney I, and there’s a new text service Team Macca have been using, so there’s a lot of chat about what this all means.
The McCartney III roll-out was filled with breadcrumbs and clues, so this is surely going to intensify as the weeks go on.
Paul’s brother Mike speculated on it, with the title appearing in an unreleased track that Macca played live in 2008.

Interestingly with this title, there’s a website of the same name which has been set-up. Have a look here. The photo for this, was taken by Mike’s son Josh, and isn’t far from John Lennon Airport.
Pleasingly, there’s already an Easter Egg on Google Maps too.

Will this be Paul’s last major album run? It may well be, so make sure you drink it all in and enjoy every moment.
And here’s ‘In Liverpool’, which mentions Dungeon Lane in the lyrics.
