Pink Floyd are going to be doing a whole load of things for the anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon. It’ll be 50 and there’s going to be deluxe boxsets and all that stuff, which honestly, you can go and find out about yourself because we’re only mentioning this because the anniversary happens to land in one of the most peculiar times in history.

The alt.right, the misogynists, the bigots, the cry-baby wrong ‘uns – they’re all over the place at the moment getting upset at absolutely everything and anything that even mildly challenges their worldview. We’re to believe that it’s those pinko lefties that are doing all the crying, but honestly, have you ever read the bottom half of the internet? It’s awash with right wing sadsacks crying all the water out of their already pretty dehydrated bodies.

And they’re at it again, this time with the LP sleeve of Dark Side of the Moon.

The social media channels for Pink Floyd kicked in, and of course, there was a rejig of the iconic graphic design from the front cover. You know the drill – beam of light going into a prism and refracting out the other side as a rainbow – right? Literally every human on earth knows what DSOTM looks like.

Not these absolute tools.

Are you pitying them? Laughing at them? Baffled? Either way, you feel your feelings and we’ll do a cursory mention of the new release in case anyone wants to know.

Remastered, repacked, Dark Side will have loads going for it for the completeist and there’ll be a couple of new tracks too. Look at all this stuff.

The Dark Side of the Moon 50th anniversary box, the Live at Wembley 1974 release and the 160-page book will all be released on 24 March 2023.

Have fun buying that, unless you’re boycotting the band over a graphic that they commissioned half a century ago and you only just found out, thinking it’s all a massive conspiracy to make you kiss a gay person.
